Join us for our Monthly Film Quiz!
Test your film knowledge and stir up a bit of friendly competition for a great cause.
We ask competitors who are able to give, to donate £10 per person or £40 per team, and help us fundraise to refurbish, reimagine, and reopen our beloved Belmont Cinema.
Quiz consists of five rounds, and is hosted by Dallas King (Trustee and Film Critic). Max. number per team is four people.
Wednesday 18 February, 6pm at Cowdray Hall
The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo is the 2011 neo-noir thriller directed by David Fincher, and adapted from the book by Stieg Larsson. Starring Daniel Craig as Mikael Blomkvist and Rooney Mara as Lisbeth Salander, it tells the story of Blomkvist's investigation to find out what happened to a girl from a wealthy family who had disappeared 40 years earlier. To do so, he recruits the help of Salander , a computer hacker.
The film will be introduced by best-selling author Denise Mina, who adapted the book into a graphic novel.
Screens are part of Granite Noir Crime Writing Festival, in association with Aberdeen Performing Arts.

Murder On The Orient Express is a 1974 British murder mystery directed by Sidney Lumet, based on the 1934 novel of the same name by Agatha Christie.
With an all-star cast, featuring the Belgian detective Hercule Poirot (Albert Finney) who is asked by a railway director to investigate the murder of an American business tycoon aboard the Orient Express train. The various suspects are portrayed by Lauren Bacall, Ingrid Bergman, Sean Connery and John Gielgud, to name but a few.
