The team behind works to bring the Belmont Cinema back to life would like to invite the wider Belmont community to join us for a public meeting on Sunday 8th October at 2pm in the Cowdray Hall.

“We are delighted that the Finances and Resources Committee have adopted officers recommendations and have today appointed Belmont Community Cinema Ltd as the preferred operator for the Belmont Cinema.

The Save The Belmont Cinema group has responded to Aberdeen City Council’s Request For Information regarding the potential appointment of an operator for the Belmont Cinema and Media Centre and submitted our initial proposal ahead of today’s deadline.

We want to ensure that the Belmont Cinema is sustainably reopened to the cultural and educational benefit of Aberdeen and those who live here. Providing an inclusive and accessible cinema/cultural space in our city centre for many years to come.

Aberdeen City Council's Finances & Resources Committee will meet on Wednesday 17th May to consider the results and recommendations of the Feasibility Study undertaken by Mustard Studio on behalf on the Council.
